After a career of 30 years + in financial services, I thought it was time for a change. Change to what though? All I knew was to put my all into working in an office in London, with an hour or more commute each way on top. What little time I had for myself was punctuated by feeling too tired or too pre-occupied with work irritations to do anything else. I had been in the same organisation for the last 20 years and knew I was in a rut.

So feeling bereft of a ‘life’ I decided to take the huge decision to quit and eke out a second life – “Life Two” – and see where the journey took me. This website is a chronicle of my journey. It’s not meant to be a “How to…” for others to follow (and it’s certainly not advice nor meant to be). It is intended to help me gather my thoughts. That said, I know from talking to others in the same boat that they might find some value in reading about what I did before they take their own journeys.
